The American fascist coup is in progress. Oppositional powers knew the playbook in advance. Project 2025 was published for all to see like a villainous monologue. The Trump Regime launched volleys of threats against political enemies during the campaign. DOGE was loudly announced to be a total war against the bureaucratic state.

Now, the fascist coup is here. Yet, the oppositional leaders are comatose. They seem unable to grasp the gravity of the moment, in a daze induced by their comforts under the status quo. The Pax Americana, if such a period ever existed, has made liberal civic leaders soft-bellied pacifists wholly unprepared to meet the moment fighting.

The fascist coup is underway. But my friends seem oblivious to it all. Not entirely their fault, the mainstream media continues to frame unfolding events as little more than unconventional government. Meanwhile, social media is being manipulated by the very oligarchs thrusting forward the coup. The people seem unaware of the existential threat to their natural rights.

You are living through a fascist coup. The fascist Trump Regime is taking hold of the government in dramatic ways. Purges are taking place in the DOJ and FBI to remove loyalists from the ranks. At the Treasury, the Trump Regime is strong-arming career civil servants into turning over the keys to the money faucets. The Trump Regime has used the federal government’s HR department to freeze federal funding to universally supported programs. The courts have ordered a stoppage on the Trump Regime’s fascist coup, and it has been almost entirely ignored as the regime presses on with their aims.

Our mechanisms to stop the fascist coup are failing. The courts have tried and failed. The Trump Regime simply ignored their orders. In Congress, the majority is willing, if not eager, to support the coup. Of the narrow minority that claims to be in opposition, a fair share of those members are still affirming the Trump Regime’s secretary nominations. South Korea recently showed us how the legislature can swiftly act to end a coup. Our legislature seems unwilling to stiffen with the same patriotic backbone. The military could step in, but any attempt would be considered treasonous by Trump and likely fail.

The wake of the fascist coup will be horrifying. Our freedoms are dying. Speech, religion, due process, the fascists do not care to respect our natural rights. Fascism operates under a simple principle: protect but do not bind the in-group and bind but do not protect the out-group. Marginalized people and political dissidents will belong to the out-group. And the far right think tanks now embedded with the authority of the Trump Regime have made clear they do not consider the out-group to be American. Concentration Camps like Gitmo are being organized as I write. The consequences of a successful fascist coup are harrowing.

The resistance to a successful fascist coup will be bloody. If successful, people who recognize the fascist takeover will find themselves angry in the streets. It’s there that state-sanctioned violence will strike to put down dissidents. Perhaps it will be militias, police forces, or the national guard. People will die. And the only way the Trump Regime’s grip will loosen is by being too heavy-handed, fracturing his own control of the military. None of this is pretty, or hopeful. But we are quickly marching toward last resorts.

Lets call this what it is so we can stop it in its tracks. This is a fascist coup on American soil. Media must call it out. The people must demand its end. And Congress must fulfill its oath to this beautiful country. Will the patriots rise up to unseat this would-be despot?
